Medical aesthetic treatments

Botolinum toxin (botox)

The first signs of ageing are usually wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. Wrinkles are a normal feature of the face, but for many people they are a problem, as they perceive that they make them look tired or older. When injected, botulinum toxin blocks certain nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. The muscles relax, and so the wrinkes are reduced. This effect lasts approximately 3 to 6 months.

Baby botox

Baby Botox is indicated for people between 20 and 30 years of age, if there are few wrinkles and they are not very deep, or if only prevention is sought. The ideal patients are young people who have a tendency to frown or contract the area around the eyes, when speaking or gesturing.

The technique consists of infiltrating a very small dose of botulinum toxin into the muscle in the area to be treated, causing it to relax and inhibiting its movement. The toxin prevents the muscle from contracting and the wrinkle does not form. It is generally repeated once a year.

Cheekbone filler with hyaluronic acid

Loss of volume in the cheekbones and cheeks is one of the most visible signs of facial ageing. With hyaluronic acid filler, a molecule produced naturally by our body to keep the skin hydrated, we can restore lost volume, define and enhance the features, and correct wrinkles and imperfections of the face. In addition, hyaluronic acid filler stimulates the production of collagen and elastin by the patient’s own skin.

It is a simple treatment that is generally performed in a single session, lasting between 30 and 45 minutes. Hyaluronic acid is a biocompatible substance, i.e. the body recognises it as its own, minimising any side effects or allergic reactions. It generally takes a year to be fully reabsorbed. After that year, the treatment can be repeated.

Lip filler with hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule produced naturally by our body, which is responsible for storing water to keep the skin hydrated. When, from the age of 27-28, this natural production begins to decline, the volume and contour of our lips may appear thinner or blurred.

If, respecting the natural line of the lips, we inject hyaluronic acid in specific areas, such as the corner of the mouth, lower lip and Cupid’s bow, we obtain a significant improvement in facial features, with a reduction in wrinkles and an increase in hydration where it has been applied. The filler can take 6 to 8 months to be completely reabsorbed in its first application; in subsequent treatments, the effect tends to last a little longer.

Tightening threads

Sagging and flaccidity of the tissues, caused by the loss of collagen and elastin, are the signs of ageing that most often cause concern, both in the face and in the neck area. With the placement of tensor threads we can achieve a lifting effect without surgery, the result being very effective and natural.

The threads are filaments of different thickness and biocompatible (they do not produce allergic effects or rejection), which are placed at the level of the dermis with a needle that serves as a guide and is subsequently removed, leaving the thread in the right position to correct the flaccidity.

The immediate result is the tightening effect, to which must be added the stimulating effect of the collagen fibres, which is noticeable after the third month. The results last from one to two years.

Chemical facial peeling

Chemical peeling is a deep exfoliation of the facial skin with a substance that is applied, without rubbing, over the entire surface. The result is the elimination of impurities, blemishes, acne marks and wrinkles, depending on the type of product used and the depth of the exfoliation. At least two or three sessions are necessary for optimal results.

This procedure helps to improve the appearance of the facial skin, it is non-invasive and from the first session the results are noticeable, which are quite long-lasting because they manage to activate the natural production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
